Form controls sometimes invisible

No ActiveX controls or shapes, just VFP textboxes and a pageframe. Neither the form level textboxes or anything on a pageframe page show. Draw() doesn't do anything either.

I forgot to mention that something like ? date() will display the date on the form as well as DISPLAY STATUS. These seem to show at least some painting taking place, but not the controls.

It's an odd thing to deal with.
