Besides, it's not just a google search - I know the sites I pointed you too, I read these blogs many times myself. They can get you started quickly, the other question if this is the best approach or not.
I was using SQLDataSource myself when working with ASP.NET, but I used Stored Procedures mostly.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
