There is a free tool called MyGeneration
http://www.download.com/MyGeneration/3000-10252_4-10343918.html?tag=mncol;pop&cdlPid=10783348 that can create stored procedures for you (for Update, Insert, Delete). It can do much more than that, actually, but I used it for generation of SPs.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
