I see these were more or less answered, and in that much better than I can answer them.

Just don't see that anyone addressed the "I'm not allowed to print without the Desktop Experience Feature". Weird wording aside (I've had some desktop experience - sat on them, slept on some, built a couple, carried them in-out-up-down, but I wouldn't call all or any of that a feature), looks like one of the cases when Vista-like DRM misfires. My WAG is that whatever is supposed to print your jpg is looking for something that would call home and ask their mom whether they may print this, but that something is missing - supposed to be installed by DEF.
