Hi Naomi,

unless the company is paying you by the job and not by the hour, they would do well to find the key and/or the original receipt and then upgrade to the current version. At that point, with key in hand, you will be able to use VPM in the manner intended, and I think with much better results than you are getting. It's an incredibly productive framework when used as designed.
