I don't think so... it depends, though, on what you base your productivity, and I realize, that I wasn't exactly clear on this.

What I meant is the productivity in the language and the tools provided by the language. That is, how long does it take to create a data entry form in Java compared to native VFP. I think that 50% is a fair value here if the new language is widely used and many samples are available.

What I didn't meant to compare is your productivity in VFP using all libraries, frameworks, utilities, etc. you've accumulated over the years against the productivity of plain Java, .NET, etc.
