I did not state that either you or she made 'ad hominen' remarks to each other. You both do however, insult each other. Your insults do not go unnoticed though. You do it to others as well, not just Marcia. You just are sneaky about it; but I think most folks here are intelligent enough that reading the comment they can see the insult in it.

Are Marcia's insults worse? That can only be judged based on how the recipient reacts to the insult. I don't think her 'ad hominen' remarks are any more hurtful to you than your insults against her intellect are to her. Are they both 'hitting below the belt?' I guess it could be argued that hers hit lower than yours if that is what you mean.

Neither are successful ways of supporting your position in a discussion.
