It's a poor craftsman who blames his tools, so let me say it
this way. After noticing that when I traversed the grid, the
record that I stopped on changed and then all the rest of the
records changed, in the back of my head I kept thinking that it
was something in the AfterRowChange method, but I couldn't see
anything in the code that would cause that.

To make a longer story shorter, I didn't understand the default
behavior of that method in my framework (ProMatrix). Why it was
only causing the problem after I zapped the table, I still don't
understand, but once I pulled out my DODEFAULT() everything was
copasetic.
