maybe you have copied the redundancy from a form that switches the caption (buttons will be just text / picture / picture + text) or something that works with an external toolbar. The toolbar will look like an acces key, but the access is infact inside form.keypress.

What I forgot is that putting the backslash lessthan symbol in a command button caption causes the command button click to load the action into the event handler, (or something like that.) Therefore the Do Case stuff on the for keypress is redundant. That is why the nodefault is needed to prevent the backslash lessthan symbol in the button caption from doing the default action.
