Hi Lucien,

>Will a stand-alone VFP app run on a Linux server? And if so, are there any special settings or things to look out for?

There've been some success stories using Wine. However, to comply with the EULA you have to use the full version of VFP on the Linux machine instead of the runtime. The full version, though, can only be used for development and testing. You cannot run production code inside the VFP IDE, well, at least that's what Microsoft says. Whether that's valid depends on the law in your country.

If the application is simple enough, you can use my Guineu (http://guineu.foxpert.com) to build your VFP project into a .NET Mono application that runs on Linux.
