>The programmer's name was Alex. I don't remember his last name. He was from Iran, but lived here in the US. Some of the ways he does things just drive me nuts. He didn't follow normal Microsoft programming conventions. I think I will rename his file to be a ".PRG" file and solve that problem right off.
I somehow think I may remember where I saw this before... IIRC, there was a tool back in FP 1.0x or thereabouts, some kind of binder, which would combine all your little prg files and put them together in one big procedure (PRC) file so the compiler would get them faster, because back then, in the times of DOS 4.0 (remember the horror?) it was a risky life if you had too many files in the same [s]folder[/s] directory. The disk wasn't indexed, not even by filename, and directories were scanned sequentially. So there was a reason for such a tool... which we never used. This story is how I remember what it said in the manual - no hands-on experience.
Renaming it into a .prg will do nothing wrong - watch for Set Procedure, it may mention the old extension - and it will make it a tad simpler.
