Sounds like you haven't use the ANALYZE.EXE program in the VSS\Win32 folder. It has some options to pack the database as well as purge deleted files. The most important part here is that it can find errors in the database and fix them. SInce the VSS database format is not as stable as a DBF file you should run this program about once a week.

Yep, don't use the Share option. Sharing a file increases the time to open a project in VFP (beside causing some other problems with VFP)
