Thanks for the suggestion butI am still having the problem after running chkdsk. I thought maybe the problem was due to space constraints so I truncated some tables with unnecessary data, shrunk the data and log files, etc. to no avail.

>Uhmm, a long shot, but I would run a chkdsk command with the /f switch on on the system drive.... Sometime that has unstuck similar situations for me. Apparently there might be a currupted but hopefully recoverable file.
