There could have been so much more, but cultural taboos and fear brought down the wrath of those who confused the customs of their tribe with the laws of nature.

So true. I'd not heard that Huxley had a send of of Sandoz... Sandoz halted LSD production in August 1965 so it's not too often you actually run across it ..hahaha...but hey it *does* happen from time to time ( like this vile from 2006 http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_article2.shtml ), Anyway yeah it's for sure one of those 'cant put the genie back in the bottle' type of things....
