Anyone taken a look at Filemaker V10?

When considering it as an alternative, even though there will certainly be some re-writing required, there are a number of positives.

1. Cross platform.
2. Cross platform since 1993.
3. Apple is behind it.
4. There is a ton of third party support.
5. Lots of active forums.
6. Easy learning curve.
7. Desktop and web development possible.

There are few other companies that can go head-to-head with MS and survive. Apple is one of them... So if your looking for a product that has backing, Filemaker has to be a top pick.

V10 offers some interesting and much needed enhancements. Script triggers to name one, which is similar to events in VFP.

BTW, before V10, I don't think it was worth considering, but they are making some big strides... perhaps because of the void that will be created by VFP no longer being in the marketplace.
