Many experts believe that cell phones and diesel fumes are much more dangerous than cigarette smoking. Do you want to smack everyone in the face who drives a diesel or uses a cell phone?

Studies show some levels are higher for different environmental dangers in each (cell phones, diesel fumes, asbestos, cigarettes) but the real impact on the health is another issue. Some studies link diesel exhaust and lung cancer mortality in trucking industry workers, and other studies show that cell phone use could kill more people than cigaretter smoking or asbestos.

For someone who seems to believe in individual rights and freedoms you sure get angry over what other people are doing.

Show me one reputable source concluding that cell phones kill more people that cigarette smoking. (by the way, I'll concede a point about using cell phones while driving. I admit that I'll use my cell phone if I'm on a long stretch of road, like the PA turnpike, but I don't use it any other time)

Take away diesel trucks and you may be taking away what transports cartons and cartons of those lovely little cancer sticks from one state to another. <s>

Just carrying out our daily lives, and carrying out standard commerce, affects health and environment. Smoking can hardly be considered under the same umbrella.
