>>>Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock easy listening? I don't think so. Here are two you should consider adding to your library.
>>>
>>>I have most of their stuff. In the 60's, Hancock's playing was immaculate. They were great musicians for the 60's flavor of Miles Davis.
>>>
>>>What I said was that Ramsey Lewis did some remakes of Shorter/Hancock, but made the remakes sound horribly "pop-ish"
>>>
>>>Weather Report is OK - I never loved their work, but it's OK.
>>
>>I was never a Zawinal-as-a-human-being fan, but both he and Shorter could play. And Zawinal did write "Mercy, Mercy" after all.
>>
>>Anyway, since they were both on "Bitches Brew" (one of the great albums of all time imho), I can give WR a pass. but with the talent they had, the group should have produced better stuff.

>Better than "Mysterious Traveller"? You're tough.

BTW, did you know that "Mysterious Traveller" was an old radio show and Magazine that featured SF, Fantasy and crime dramas?

What can I say; I'm a subscriber to the Old Time Radio Mystery Club (http://www.mysteryshows.com). A $10.00 or more donation gets you a lifetime membership. Hell of a deal.

>I have to admit I am not as big a Miles Davis fan as I am supposed to be. I like the early work. "Kind of Blue" is a classic. When he went funky he left me behind. I like melody. Peaceful music. There is enough loudness in everyday life.
