>That reminds one time I did work for this company that did a lot of statistical work. They had all their statistics in dbf tables and they asked a junior programmer to write a routine to pack the tables, well instead of putting PACK he wrote ZAP and the rest is history lol. They lost a lot of data but they were lucky they had a working backup.
I was watching as a power user was trying out a routine to run - something that was supposed to operate on a current alias, no parameters or anything. Except that it didn't work, so she copied a few records into a temp table to experiment at, then selected the big one, to see something, then the temp to try something else... and about the eleventh time she zapped the wrong one. No backup. I could see the temperature of her face drop a few degrees within three seconds.
