I am a firm subscriber to the theory that fear works. Mess with us, hurt our folks, you will die. Not only will you die, your family will suffer andyour country will be blasted.

The problem with the Islamic extremist groups is that all they want to do is to kill us and they don't care if they die in the process. This really leaves no room for any type of negotiation. At least if your enemy doesn't want to die, you have some bargaining room...
