Reagan was not inexperienced. He was the governor of California, which is more populous than most countries.

Experience is not necessarily a requirement anyway. Most of the great ones, in any walk of life, have achieved greatness young. Look up how old (young) the great rock musicians were when they recorded the albums that put them on the map. Writers. (There are some exceptions there). Directors. Entrepreneurs. Don't dismiss him because he's young for a President.
