besides the hack from Christof you can generate an SCX form from any form class, not only the base form.

CREATE FORM Formname AS formclass FROM classlibrary

Or go to Tools/options and set the template class for forms, then a new form will be based on the class you sepcify there instead of the base form class.

But once you have an SCX, you'd need to save it as a class to inherit from it again. That's why I said SCX forms are rather the end nodes of the inheritance tree.
