Well, that's somewhat logic, as a mapping is about how fields are retrieved and what fieldtypes are used in the cursor. So it must be determined before the cursor is generated. True, with CA it's more easy, you set it per CA object, which makes it a cursor setting anyway, and as long as the cursor does not yet exist, eg with nodata = .T. you can set it before issuing CursorFill.
