Hi all

say i have a name field in report. "Mark Smith123456789". according to the width of name textbox in report designer it can display maximum upto Mark Smith1234. and i want similar. to display as much as possible.
but vfp trims it to only "Mark". gets rid of the last word completely. I tried playing with different trim options in 'format' tab but it didnt help.
another idea is to hard code like this in field expression. left(allt(cname),14) . but then i will have to do this everywhere. isnt there a way to let vfp handle this automaticaly?
