IMHO, if we want to operate with different set of data, perhaps having different classes (or subclass of another) is better. However, I'm not familiar with MM.NET framework (I'm familiar with VFP MM framework) and made my suggestion just as the first idea came out.
I believe Tim and Linda will give you better approaches to consider and also may explain what is better from OOP standpoint.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
