For IE 7 you can download the IE Developer Toolbar (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=E59C3964-672D-4511-BB3E-2D5E1DB91038&displaylang=en). The capabilities are built into IE 8: Tools > Developer Tools or just hit F12. Both allow you to clear the cache selectively (and perform a myriad of other tasks).

Thanks Christof, I had heard before about the developer tools but took the FireFox route with Fire bug. As it turned out I had issues with Firefox so never revisited the idea. Thanks a bunch.
