Who do you think we wanted as a surgeon....someone who also must deal with government red-tape and government "management", or a surgeon whose skills and dedication and reputation allow him/her to keep every dollar he/she has earned?

Well, no one is going to keep every dollar that they earn <s>. I have no problem paying my fair share for police and fire protection and to keep the public roads in good condition and remove the snow in winter. What I do have a problem with is paying for freeloaders who think that they have some right to what I have earned.
