My dentist and Dr's office everything is electronic. Even when I get my teeth x-rayed the x-ray shows up on the computer under my chart. Anything they add they type right into the computer.
If you add patient info to your software I think you would need to add some security because the front desk people that schedule appointments shouldn't be able to see patient info but the hygienist and dentist and doctors should be able to schedule an appointment and see patient info. My Dr's office uses EPIC I don't know what my dentis uses.
