I checked into this a bit more. Unfortunately, the error is not caused by some VFP code that is executed during IntelliSense, rather by the code that queries the object. It seems this happens when VFP wants to release an OLE string previously returned as null by the ActiveX control. Ignoring the error finally leads to a "File Descriptor Error". From that point the error does not occur for the same method anymore, most likely, because VFP has now cached it.
That doesn't solve the issue, though.
