>I can only applaud your political sensibilities. Lets face it , its a lottery, you don't know what you've elected for several years so why not go for looks (not a great fan of Jolie myself, too much lip). I'm going to have to look up Chris Matthews.

Chris Matthews is a "newsman" on MSNBC ( an "all news" would-be competitor to Foxnews and CNN which has ratings somewhere in the range of Sermonette or the Scottish Gourmet ) who not coincidentally worked for Jimmy Carter. During the campaign he engaged in onanistic fawning over Obama that was so embarrassing - even to his network, which had no shame in that regard - that he was removed from all "news" duties and labelled as a "commentator". At one point when "reporting" on an Obama speech (which was brilliant on "hope" and "change" but had as much content as a smiley face button ) he said he felt a tingle in his leg (he did not specify which one)

He is otherwise famous for appearing to have overdosed on cocaine or be so hard of hearing he does not realize he is talking so loud he cannot hear that he is talking over his interviewee's answers, in which he apparently has no interest.

At least now Walter Cronkite will be able to appropriately roll over in his grave.

I like Angelina's lips - but then I came of age thinking Julie Christie was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
