Hello,

Yes I think Wincyclopedia is a great idea. I know a few API, so if your work is based on free contributions, just ask me.

The developers I work with, let's say my team, do not read english in the text. So I have to explain in french the behaviours, side effects, parameters, and so on about Win 32 API. The problem is MS do not translates those docs to other idioms, at least not to my knowledge.

Another idea would be to "offer" a translation to any company interested in. I could help you for the french version as far as that translation could be fast (in order to follow MS systems enhancements). So what about using an automatic translator , and correct where necessary ? We do not need to write a novel. A few words of explanation, and an example, are amply sufficient, no ?
I prefer that to a book, which is outdated from its writing to its availibility. This is NOT a criticism towards your suggestion. Appelman's is a good book. But during my computers studies , I experienced to many often obsolete manuals.

I would enjoy discussing that idea with you. Please let me know your opinion.

Bye.
