Hi everybody,

I had my form working correctly, but today I decided to run a test against customer’s data. The table for the Picklist was empty as well as the table (view) which was used for the controlsource of the textbox.

The picklist produced an error – no picklist available for the field.

Using right click menu on the textbox I added a new record into the table used for the picklist. Still I got the same wait window message that Picklist is not available.

Only once I added a new record to my table (in VFP) that was used for the view used as a ControlSource for the textbox, I got the picklist to work.

Is it an expected behavior? Does it mean that we always need to have a record in a table if we want to use the textbox with a PickList?

Thanks in advance.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
