>Seems to me that much of the cost concerning the CBO comes from proposed additional burden on taxpayers to provide extra benefits to which many taxpayers will not get access and on top of the existing premiums they pay. This is an extension to the existing system and is dissimilar in every significant respect from the system in Canada and the other socialized care models. If people write those models off you are guaranteeing extensions and duplications that in the end *will* cost more money.

Can you give some examples of the 'extra benefits' the plan will provide that many taxpayers will not get access to and is dissimilar to other socialized care models? Also, is it a case of 'not getting access to' which implys those benefits are not available, or 'not needing access to' which implys no medical need for those benefits?
