Exactly. That is when it works.

Which vfp directory? the home() directory or the default directory when the app is loaded. Before issuing DO whatever.EXE, I set the default directory and path in VFP to the directory of the whatever.EXE

There is nothing in the vfp directory home() (the vfp full version directory) that isn't put there by default when you install vfp. This is the behavior on all machines now. It works fine within the IDE, but not external using the runtimes.
