The connection is used for remote views as well as SPT. I don't care if it is open or closed at any specific time. The important point is that there should be a connection to the database when the user requests data. If SQL has severed that connection, I'd like to know how to detect that and re-establish the connection so that the user doesn't see the SQL message that dumps them out of the application.
