From what you emailed to me I guess (while waiting for your response) that there are free tables, and there are tables attached to database; what you mentioned as tables you can see with ADO, they are free tables (again, it is my guess).
ADO connection string is different for free tables and for tables attached to DBC, thus if you have only one connection string, it is a probable reason you have a problem.
