From what you emailed to me I guess there is a problem with number of fields (which are 255, maximum allowed) and/or with field names. At least I was able to open table in Excel, see field names, and file entire content. Probably it will be enough for you at the moment to convert it from Excel to appropriate format and to work with data.
Meanwhile when I have time I will try to find the exact cause and or appropriate fix.
