I've been running Windows 7 on 64 bit since its first beta. If you have been running Vista, all of your drivers and hardware should cross over with no problem. I had a small problem with my Samsung CL500 laser printer, but was able to find a post and got it working. The 64bit stuff is much faster and I think you won't have any regrets going forward if you switch to it.

You can always run VM's with 32 bit stuff if you need to.
