Yes, you are right. My nephew just got accepted to a medical school (in Dallas) 3 days ago, after trying for a year. My daughter was more fortunate; she was accepted (because of her grades) after 2nd year in undergraduate university. So when she graduated from the university, she already had a place in medical school.
