The "cursor" in the DataEnvironment is really the table. You are accessing the table directly; you can continue doing so.
You can use both tables and views in the DataEnvironment; if you specify the name of the table directly, then you are doing the equivalent of USE TABLENAME. "Cursor" in this context is a generic name for alias - whether it is attached to a table, or a view.
