Title:
ODBC for 64 Bit - not totally ruled out...
Hi,
to give those still getting work done with vfp tables and worrying over missing ODBC drivers
for 64-Bit applications some new ideas where to turn to:
In a question on how to use ODBC in 64-Bit mode I mused that the Advantage/Sybase-crew
might compile such a driver, as they have a 32-Bit ODBC-driver supporting vfp9 capabilities already...
One of Advantages R&D managers wrote, that they haven't released one yet,
but somebody interested in testing a pre-production one might drop him a line...
If anybody over here is in need of this, now you can help yourself by helping them test.
besides the ETEC compiler, the advantage product is IMHO one to keep in the back of your mind.
I am not affiliated with either one of them, but will at least test one of them later this year.
regards
thomas
