She thinks for herself and votes for what she thinks is best for her constituents. In today's Republican party (and most of the Democrats as well) that qualifies as a troublemaker. As is pointed out in the article I linked for Tracy, she is so popular with her constituents she doesn't have to kow-tow to the party line.

If you look at her positions on health care reform you will see she is by no means lining up behind Obama's proposal. Parts of it she likes, parts of it she doesn't.

I wish the Senate had 100 just like her, regardless of their positions on specific issues.
