SPs are cool. If you use NET and don't need mobile databases and have written off L2S, they're one of the more viable choices for lots of data access needs. With Cloud around the corner, seems to me there will be other opportunities for a good trainer, though Writing off L2S implies that there was writing on the wall to begin with - as I've said before, L2S was always the weak "link" in LINQ. :)
Whether one is using .NET is not relevant to the value of sprocs.
Cloud is promising - but for the forseeable future, there's a strong demand for BI training. Then again, if you had told me 3 years ago that in 3 years I'd be a full-time trainer for 2 years straight, I never would be believed it.
