It probably would use some common library and the total sum of exe would decrease (less than 6+2). It might have maintenance advantage such as when common code changes you only compile a single project and update one application. OTOH, controlling two together in one application, might add to the complexity. Minimizing a window is a simple process, if they are comfortable with it I wouldn't attempt to change and make it more complex from development view point.
