>Good point - I just spent 2 hours this weekend teaching an 82-yr old stepmother to send e-mail and web surf. I hadn't realized how NON-intuitive computer interfaces were!!
It's really eye-opening to see things from the perspective of someone who has no familarity with computers at all, isn't it? So many things we take for granted (like a save confirmation:) make no sense to them. And who's to say they're not right?
>However, at the time I was writing OTC software I had parents who were at least as computer-savvy as I was - My father was an electrical engineer who used mainframes the way we use TV remotes.
Ah, you were lucky. :) My mom has had to have been dragged kicking and screaming into the world of email. Now you can't get her away from the computer. :)
