The code I am using to get the error info is as follows:

jl=TABLEUPDATE(2,.f.,"v_materialstock","myerror")
jl returns .f.
myerror[1]=1

Aerror() does not have anything in it as no error seems to have occurred - just a failed update. Sorry if I am not understanding you.
