Title:
Vista/7 - VFP 6, 7 and 9
I am setting up a new computer at work and wondering where to install the three versions of Visual FoxPro I use. I have applications I support in VFP 6, 7 and 9. New projects are moving towards VB 2008/SQL Server. My new PC has Vista Ultimate 32 bit and I know there are some hotfixes and workarounds for issues with VFP 9 on Vista. But I have not heard anything about how VFP 6 or 7 work on Vista. Also, in October/November, I will have the option of upgrading to Windows 7.
Anyhow, I was considering setting up a Virtual Machine with XP and all my VFP stuff, but maybe thats unnecessary. Should I just go ahead and install VFP on Vista? Anyone have much experience with these versions on Vista? How about Windows 7?
Any advice/opinions appreciated!
Thanks
