Setting the focus to the textbox when it already has focus or pressing an ON KEY LABEL key would do this.

If AStackInfo (as naomi suggested) doesn't provide any insight, use SET COVERAGE TO in the button right before the click event. Use a hot key to turn it off. This should show what code is executed right before the Valid event.
