After struggling and struggling with VD (as it's appropriately called), I finally chucked it and went to code for all my views. I'm a big fan of visual tools, but VD falls down when you need it the most.

Going to code was easier when it finally sunk in that I only needed to execute the CREATE VIEW once, instead of every execution. :)
