Never been to Austin. I have friends that live there. Salt Lake County is similar...a speck of blue in all the red of Utah. The county to the south (where BYU is) has been named the most conservative in the country many times.

I was listening to a discussion on a local NPR station today about the 2012 election. They said if Romney is the Republican nominee for President, there isn't a Democrat in the state that will stand a chance.
