Tamar's loyalty/dedication/friendship to you is not the issue. So she's your friend - big deal. Your best friend could be President Obama or the Lord Our God - the issue is your complete lack of self-respect and your continued drinking despite knowing all the ramifications - so what is the value of "friendship" there?
